Is the worship of Sto Nino a form of idolatry?

January 17, 2011

The answer to the question on whether the worship of the image of Sto Nino is a form of idolatry is determined by the answers to the following questions. Exodus 20:4,5. You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

That something is someone and that someone is God. He is the one who created you for a purpose. He is the only one that can fill the emptiness in you. He is the true meaning of human existence. To have a personal relationship and fellowship with God is life itself. Not to have that kind of relationship is death. You may be alive, healthy, talented, popular, wealthy and successful, but if you don't have a personal relationship with God, you are still dead. Your life is empty and meaningless. If you are in that kind...
